KUCHING: Sarawak is flush with talented youths and it is high time that digital industries make full use of it, said Tanjung Datu assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan.
He said the youths in particular has a lot to offer to the development of big data and hydrogen economy in the state.
“On the topic of big data and hydrogen economy, I am sure that the youths in Sarawak are equipped with the necessary talent to develop the industry.
“We urge the relevant agencies or new agencies to look into or youths for recruitment in these new industries,” the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Youth information chief said today (June 22).
He said this will, in turn secure the future of graduates in the state as well as skilled and unskilled youths.
Earlier, he congratulated Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg for the launch of the fifth International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (IDECS).
He said the recent IDECS was a notable one particularly when reviewing the challenges faced in the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We applaud the efforts of the Premier and the state government in taking Sarawak onto a new frontier with limitless possibilities,” he said.
Azizul said, the youths are excited with the policy and vision of the state government in their digital economy approach.
“Being a part of the younger populace, we are very excited in seeing this new development for the future generations,” he said.
He added, the state government is also on the right track with their emphasis on environmental sustainability and climate change.
“These two are definitely the current hot topic being discussed in the current evolving world landscape.
“We want to make sure that we have a sustainable future for our children and grandchildren to live in,” he added.
