KUCHING: PBB information chief Datuk Idris Buang warned state Pakatan Harapan chief Chong Chieng Jen to not escape from his coalitions pledge to return state’s rights.

He slammed the DAP leader for trying to mince his own words by saying that the current federal government did not promise to return state’s rights unconditionally.

“Trying to escape from the hauntings of your own failed promises, Chong? No way possible. Anyway, nice try,” said Idris in a press statement today.

“Chong clearly promised all things such as 20 percent oil and gas royalty, 50 percent taxes collected in Sarawak to be returned to the state.

Idris pointed out to videos that are available on the public domain showing the deputy minister promising things such as 20 percent oil and gas royalty, 50 percent taxes collected in Sarawak to be returned to the state.

“Was it not him in those videos? Was it not him who put it all through the press, media and in his DUN speeches before the GE14, all those unfulfilled promises or pledges?

“Now that the PH is in power, what has he done? What has PH done to all these promises? Nothing,” he remarked.
